Introduction

Southeast Asia Nation Law and International Law Research Center of KMUST have 5 full-time teachers and all of them are associate professors, 4 of them have doctoral degree and 3 of them have the experience of studying abroad. All 5 teachers of the center have the outstanding ability of teaching and scientific research and all of them have achieved supporting research and practice achievements. The center already published 4 academic monographs and about 120 academic papers, hosted 4 state-level projects (including one sub-project of a Major bidding projects of the national social science fund), 6 provincial-level projects, one international cooperation projects, and hosted one international conference.

The center is establishing training bases for Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar for legally qualified officers. The center already established Long-term partnerships with universities from Malaysia, India and other countries. Every year, famous experts and scholars from home and abroad are invited to lecture and participate in academic discussions. The central faculty is the backbone of the "Greater Mekong Sub-regional Economic Cooperation Legal Consultation Centre" and providing the legal advisory services of CAFTA.

The center has been focusing on international public law, private international law and international economic law, especially the law of Southeast Asian and South Asian countries.
